Magazines

These are various magazines produced in Australia for the Spectravideo and MSX computers.  They are included here as an online preservation project.  Anyone is welcome to send scans of missing or damaged issues so that the archive can be completed.

SVI & MSX Australasian Users Group

Run for over three years by a dedicated group of mainly ex-CPM users who where dedicated to the Spectravideo range of computers.  In later years it also covered the more expanded range of MSX machines.

Produced out of Launceston, Tasmania Australia.

Personally I mainly contributed some early software titles, and learnt a lot from the informative articles.  It inspired me to produce the Micro's Gazette magazine to fill the gap after both this users group and Computer Forum ceased operations.

MSX and Spectravideo Computer Forum

First professionally published at the start of 1986 and sold in news agents all around Australia and New Zealand and then later by mail order only.  Had a print run of three years.  Was followed by Micro's Gazette when I took over production in late 1988.

Very good quality magazine, with a lot of high quality content.

Eventually I got a new job and passed the magazine onto another group of people.

I am missing some issues, the last couple of mine and the 1st one of the new group (I think).  I have some more disks to go through, so I am hoping on finding electronic copies.
