I dusted off my in-progress port of Activision’s Seaquest that was only released for the Atari 2600. It is one of my favourite games for the Atari 2600. I held the record (I believe someone beat me a couple of years ago) with a score in the 226k range, and I thought it was a pity it was never released for consoles and computers with a TI-99XX video chip (unlike most other Activision games of the period). I did start this port a couple of Christmas holidays ago I have been distracted by health issues and other projects that have come along. This update video’s main changes from previous versions are:
– Top water animation (similar to the original)
– Lower half of sub hidden when surfaced
– Sub movement, speed and firing seem good so far
– Enemy levels change shark colour (currently a bug, as we get coloured subs instead of sharks :)).
As with my other titles, this will be available for MSX, Spectravideo, Colecovision and Sega SG-1000/SC-3000.
Another update hopefully soon.
